Sacred Heart Croydon
Welcome to Sacred Heart Primary School, Croydon. Located on the lands of the Wurundjeri-Woiwurrung people, atop “Monastery Hill,” our school community is a happy, friendly, caring and welcoming place where your child will be nurtured and guided to reach their full potential through pedagogy and curriculum that is personalised and engaging. This website provides a ‘snapshot’ of our school for prospective families and is a source of ongoing information to our current families.
In joining our community, we engage in a true partnership between family and school. I respect highly that parents are the first educators of their children and when joining Sacred Heart, we will partner with families to nurture each child’s growth and development. Our teachers are dedicated professionals who seek to bring out the best in each of our students - genuinely interested in each child’s safety, welfare and holistic development. The teachers at Sacred Heart Primary School are resolute in ensuring that each child attains their full potential.
Sacred Heart is a Catholic Parish Primary School. We are committed to educating the whole child – spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally and creatively. We continually strive to
create a Catholic learning community in which Christian values are taught, through formal lessons, and through our values, interactions and relationships with parents, teachers, students, families and
the wider community.
At Sacred Heart Primary School, we aim to develop the attitudes and skills, which will equip the children to participate fully in the world of the 21st century. We believe that children learn best when they are active participants in their own learning. Our school caters for individual differences and believes that children should progress at individual rates and be successful in what they do. We strive to unlock each child’s potential so that they may contribute positively to the development of our changing world.
Whether you are looking to enrol your eldest in Prep, have moved into the area or are looking for a change of school for your child/ren, the staff and I look forward to welcoming you to the Sacred Heart School community.
It is a privilege to lead the Sacred Heart School community in Croydon. You are all very welcome to visit Sacred Heart - please contact the school office, or book via our enrolment page, to make a time to
meet with me and have a tour of our great school.

School Prayer
Sacred Heart of Jesus be with us and send us wisdom through the Holy Spirit
To guide our decisions and actions,
so that we may do our part
in the building of the Kingdom of God.
May we reflect to all the loving care
of God our Father.
May we grow in the likeness of you the
Son who came to serve and to give your life for all.
May Mary our mother, and our special patrons,
St. Edmund and St. Francis De Sales
plead on our behalf to the Father,
through you the Son in the Holy Spirit.
Amen
Acknowledgement of Country
In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge that we are meeting on the land for which Wurundjeri People and their ancestors have been custodians for many centuries. This is land on which First Nations have performed age old ceremonies. May all people of this land come together, respecting their individuality while focusing on creating a unified and cohesive nation.
